‘Murica’s favorite pasttime?

now is melting and it’s above -30o, which could only mean one thing: the awkward period between spring and winter is here. And while I do love that time when it’s finally appropriate to wear shorts and expose our brutally pale calves, the epitome of spring is Major League Baseball season. Just think of it this way, where else can you gain 5 pounds in three and a half hours?
If you’ve never been to a Minnesota Twins baseball game, here’s a condensed list for the “rookie” of reasons why you should check it out:
4. You get to be outside in the middle of gorgeous Minneapolis. This is my favorite part of attending games, but it also makes parking/finding your car very complicated. Then again, who doesn’t like to explore an exciting city in the evening?
2.You have a slim chance of either catching a foul ball or getting hit by one. The possibility keeps everything interesting, only because it’s hilarious to see how much unnecessary effort people put into catching a foul ball. But to each his own, I guess. Don’t look down at your phone for more than 5 minutes at a time because that’s usually when they’ll be coming your way.
3. It’s hilarious when the team’s manager Ron Gardenhire, or “Gardy,” has a run-in with an umpire and even better when he gets thrown out of the game.
1. The food. It’s so memorable that if someone asked how the game went you would respond, “the Twins lost but my root beer float was unbelievable, there was a nacho bar and I’m pretty sure my pants don’t fit anymore.”
Go to a Twins game with some friends, I promise you won’t regret it.
