Swedish Revival

Swedish Revival

The Swedish Revival is an independent pop-rock band from Minnetonka, composed of Ryan Hedblom, Will Hoverman, Grant Hedblom, Russell Nelson, and Jesse Thorson. They have played at several venues, including Woodbury, Varsity Theater, and the Whole Music Club at the U of M.

The band names their influences as Walk the Moon, the Strokes, Young the Giant, Coldplay, John Mayer, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Swedish Revival takes many of the best parts of these musicians and combines them into something new and different. Their sound alone makes them worthwhile.

The Swedish Revival has been extremely popular at Coffeehouse. While good music alone is worthy of a listen, their link to the area adds to the charm.

They may not be nationally known, but everyone should give their music a listen. If you enjoy it, support them by following them on Facebook and Twitter. Attend one of their shows and see what you think!
