Spring means…ice cream!

Spring means...ice cream!

“Write a review on Adele’s.” That implies that there are flaws with Adele’s that I’m supposed point out. But I can’t do that. Why, you might ask? Because there are no flaws with Adele’s. Well, wait, there’s one- they are closed all winter. Luckily, the higher powers have smiled upon us once again and the doors of Adele’s have opened for the season.

For the first time in many years Adele’s has opened in March, as it has been warm enough to enjoy their tasty, cold custard in a month that is often cold itself.

“What is custard?” is a real question that I have been asking myself since I was about 4. And now that I’m 18 and the internet has been in existence for decades, I decided to stop being lazy and google my ignorance. It turns out ice cream and frozen custard aren’t really that different…they just add eggs to ice cream. So the thing I’ve wondered about for 14 years is now solved. Thanks, Google.

Beyond just the frozen custard capital of Minnetonka, Lick’s is open too. That doesn’t even need explanation. It’s Lick’s. It’s classic.

No matter what your alliance is (custard or classic ice cream), grab some friends and go enjoy the extended seasons of both Adele’s and Lick’s that the warm weather has brought us.
