Seniors know a lot about the courses offered here at MHS, and with registration coming up, it’s a good idea to talk to the seniors you know if you’re unsure about what classes to take. When talking to the resident seniors here at Breezes, I asked them what course they would highly recommend for students in the younger grades to take.

For those who don’t know Darryl Schorle, he is one of the stars of the Cove. Through an interview with him, I was able to get a glimpse of his amazing life and his eight years at the Cove. He shared everything, including personal and life-changing moments. In dedication to Schorle’s years at Minnetonka, I asked students to describe him in their own words.

As twinkling lights begin to sparkle, fuzzy socks come out of hiding, and snowflakes start to dance their way down from the clouds, it seems that more than just holiday spirit is touching the hearts and minds of many Minnetonka students.

One of the staples of every high schooler’s experience is their first job, an introduction into the daunting world of interviews, minimum wage and dealing with customers. MHS students are involved in a variety of unique jobs, such as lifeguarding to acting.

Sexual misconduct allegations have peppered the media lately. Prominent men such as Matt Lauer, Harvey Weinstein and Al Franken have lost their jobs due to accusations against them, leading to divide and uproar amongst the public. One doesn’t have to work to find tweet upon tweet regarding this issue from politicians across the spectrum of opinion, but what do students at Minnetonka think? These questions are what led me to ask students about their opinions and experiences.

In the glitz and glamor of the theater, a lot of people can forget just how many individuals go into making the whole show happen. In Minnetonka’s own fall show On the Town, more than sixty young actors come together along with over a hundred crew members backstage to make the show happen, each person bringing their own personal skills and talents.
