Our Student Government planned and executed a perfect Homecoming week and dance which kickstarted the year amazingly. What else exactly does Student Government do after Homecoming? Besides planning the dances (Homecoming, Sweethearts, and Prom), Student Government prepares a lot for this school and we should appreciate their hard effort. I spoke with Faith Quist ('20) and Chris Tadros ('19) who are both representatives for the sophomore and junior class, respectively.

April is National Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month. In light of this, Breezes wants to highlight the importance of MHS special education program and our students in it.

Courtney Chase ('20) was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (or ALL) cancer when she was only four and a half years old. She fought for a long two and half years when finally, she turned seven years old, she won her battle. Now, she has decided to share her experience with Breezes.

April is National Poetry Month. Not known for their marketing prowess, the Academy of American Poets in 1996 introduced the celebration to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry.

If Minnetonka is known for one thing, it’s academics. Ranked 9th out of all schools in the state of Minnesota by US News and first on the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s international student assessment, Minnetonka is entitled to brag about its college preparation and high test scores.
