Halloween Fun Facts
  1. The mask in ‘Halloween’ is actually a costume mask of William Shatner’s (Star Trek actor) face. The production crew bought the cheapest mask they could find at a Halloween store and spray painted it white. Who knew Captain Kirk could be so scary.
  2. The barf used in ‘The Exorcist’ is actually Anderson’s Pea Soup.  The directors also tried Campbell’s soup, but didn’t like the way it looked. You’ll never look at pea soup the same way.

  4. One filmgoer who saw ‘The Exorcist’ in 1974 found the movie so scary that he fainted and broke his jaw on a theater seat. Consequently, he later successfully sued Warner Brother’s. It definitely wasn’t that scary…
  5. In ‘Poltergeist’ the production crew used real human skeletons because they were cheaper than plastic ones, which makes it even creepier.
  6. The words ‘Elm Street’ are never spoken during the original ‘Nightmare on Elm Street.’
  7. Popular horror flick ‘The Shining’ was nominated for two Golden Raspberry Awards (in recognition of the worst film). Stephen King would approve, as he hated the cinematic rendition.
  8. During the dinner scene in ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Leatherface actually cuts Marilyn Burns’ finger because they couldn’t get the fake blood to work properly. Redefines workers’ compensation.
