Everybody went through the process differently, with varying degrees of procrastination and stress, but it’s finally over. When we think of the music that defines our current youth culture, genres like hip hop and indie music pop into our heads. We are living in the era of autotune and lip sync, with heavy backbeats that drown out melodies. On the other end of the spectrum, classical music is probably one of the genres with which many youth would be least likely to identify. However, the movement to promote classical music amongst youth is currently picking up steam, and some teens are already beginning to latch onto it.

Pay discrepancies in men’s and women’s sports have been the subject of intense discussion over the past couple of years, notably sparked by the USA women’s soccer team’s public complaints about their compensation. After winning the 2015 World Cup, the team was widely popular, yet was still making just a portion of the salaries of the less successful men’s players.

There has been a recent and very tragic development in the research department of Minnetonka High School. The sole CO2 incubator in the department has broken, thus delaying the research projects of many students who require the incubator to complete projects studying bacterial growth.
