How to Ask Your Date to Homecoming

It’s that time of year again – the most feared yet looked forward to event of the fall: the Homecoming dance. Who to ask, how to ask them? What do I wear? What dress brings out my eyes blah blah blah. Not only do girls have the pressure of finding a dress, guys have the equal pressure of finding a creative enough way to impress that girl that they want to go with. We’ve seen the standard sign saying “Homecoming with me?” but really boys, can’t we do better? Well, we’ve come up with a few ways that will sure make your date excited for September 27th.

1. Where’s Waldo? This one requires a red-and-white-striped shirt, black-rimmed glasses, and a red-and-white hat, if you’re up for it. Make a sign that says something like “You found Waldo…and a Homecoming Date?” Then show up with the sign to ask your date. Flowers wouldn’t hurt, either. 😉

2. Solo Cup. As much use as we get out of Solo Cups, have you ever thought of them as a unique way to ask your homecoming date? All you need is a few Solo Cups (or maybe more than a few), and a sign saying “Don’t let me go SOLO…Homecoming?”

13. Scavenger Hunt. Who doesn’t love a good scavenger hunt? It’s also a perfect way to ask your date to Homecoming. It takes a little more time but you’ll be sure to leave your date feeling special. All it takes is a few clue cards and some hints along the way! This idea is also a great way to get your friends involved. Have them give your date the clue cards and include them in the fun!

Here are just a few ways that are guaranteed to provide a fabulous night for you and your date. Although Homecoming can be stressful, it’s not hard to make the preparation just as fun as the actual night.
