Artificial Intelligence has seen a massive surge in popularity and recognition in the past year. With companies like OpenAI developing new software at a rapid pace, the future of AI is coming quickly with the potential to bring about significant change. With inclusion of its power in creativity and learning, AI can be seen as a genuinely beneficial tool.

For example, OpenAI’s new image-generating software DALL•E 2 has the ability to create images based only on short prompts. With the imagination lying in the hands of the prompter, there is almost no limit to what can be produced. After DALL•E finishes generating, its dynamic images can be a strong foundation for imagination and creativity beyond the prompt – as well as for fixing the extra eyes, warped hands and phantom shapes it tends to create.

Similar to DALL•E, ChatGPT has almost no limit to what it can generate. With one prompt, this AI chatbot can generate lists or stories as inspiration for the user. If this AI presents something useful in its answer or product, the potential is great for building off of its ideas and revolutionizing education and creativity.

While it may seem counterintuitive to learning, AI can be a useful supplement in High School education. For example, I have used ChatGPT to help further explain science review problems when they are difficult to solve at home. With this addition as an extra source of information, I was able to understand the problems with confidence while I was away from the teacher.

AI chatbots are also helping students do away with the extensive busywork that comes with many classes — assignments that are difficult and time-consuming but intellectually hollow. Using ChatGPT or other resources, students can easily generate essays for History and English to save their energy for more valuable learning.

Overall, the new development of Artificial Intelligence has the ability to significantly change the ways that people go about their daily lives, whether it be in education or artistic expression. Creating a world that can adapt to this change is the key to future success.
