The beginning of fall is marked by changing leaves, dropping temperatures, and the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Some people live for fall and everything that come with it, while others dread the cold months that follow. Many families like to go outside and enjoy the last bits of the warm weather while it’s still here. Some go outside to pick pumpkins for carving Jack-O-Lanterns or apples for eating. Others might sit and watch scary movies with their apple cider in preparation for Halloween.

We are officially back to school, and with that comes the beauty that is school supplies. The colorful pens and the variety of notebooks and folders could make anyone jump with excitement, even if it’s only the middle of July. But with that excitement comes the two extra notebooks and a 36 pen set that will never be used, making your backpack so much heavier. Having a heavy backpack puts a lot of unnecessary stress on your back and shoulder muscles.

Since its establishment in 1952, Minnetonka High School has steadily grown alongside the increasing population of the Minnetonka-Chanhassen suburban area. However, school growth at Minnetonka has continued well past the point at which the district’s population stabilized. This continued growth can be attributed to the success of open enrollment, which has played an integral part in Minnetonka’s prosperity over the years.
