Minnetonka High School is full of amazing clubs and activities, but it’s especially advanced when it comes to student volunteer opportunities. There are currently 24 clubs that focus on volunteering here at Minnetonka.
You may not realize it, but many of the recent changes made at Minnetonka High School are a result of student ideas and planning. The new crosswalk on Frontage road, for example, was all because of a small group of students who were concerned for the safety of their peers. But who is in charge of these changes? A relatively new club at the high school called the Student Innovation Team.
The Chinese and Spanish Immersion programs began at Minnetonka in 2007. These programs became available to every student enrolled at any of the elementary schools in the Minnetonka School District.
It has been almost a month since Minnetonka’s annual homecoming parade, and, for the most part, it is now a fun and exciting memory. People of all ages lined the streets amongst a flurry of blue and white decor, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the dozens of decorated floats that soon streamed by.
With college application deadlines quickly approaching, many seniors are hunkering down to make headway in deciding where to go for college by touring. Many of them toured over MEA. Some bought round-trip tickets to places as far as New York or Arizona. In less than a year, some of these students will be trading their round-trip in for a one-way ticket.
