As the year comes to an end, Breezes has put together a list of some of the best albums of the year. While this list may miss some student favorites, it is a personal reflection in opposition to being a reflection of the student body’s opinion. This list is separated into staff and editor picks, with some commentary from the student body. Other music from this year that did not make the top five but deserve a mention includes 6 Figured by Justin Roberts, Look Up Child by Lauren Daigle, and There is More by Hillsong Worship.

Going by the group name Alpine Drive, the current trio of Eli Quist, ‘20, Andrew Thompson, ‘20, and Cam Anundson, ‘19, have performed cover songs for a little over a year and a half now. They perform in a variety of styles, from classic rock to indie pop, covering songs from their influencers like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, and local sensation Hippo Campus.

Coffee shops offer a place to study, work, socialize, and of course, a delicious cup of coffee. This is why coffee shops have become one of the most popular places for people of all ages to hang out. It is no wonder they have sprung up all over the place. Minneapolis offers some of the most unique coffee shops. Around nearly every corner, there is a coffee shop with its own unique theme, design, and coffee.

With fall underway, the staple comfort foods of this time of the year come along with the shorter days and cooler temperatures. When autumn comes around, we immediately think of pumpkins, turkey, and stuffing.

Minnetonka High School’s yearbook, Voyageur, has been around since our school’s inception in 1952. Each of the 66 editions capture the lives of the students that have walked these halls and the life of the building as well. Google search long enough, and you’ll find a school on a lonely, snow covered hill, with nothing much else around. Obviously, it’s changed quite a bit, and that’s what’s great about yearbooks - they capture a period of tremendous change and memories to last a lifetime. However, the story behind the scenes is just as special.

Now that fall is here, the craving for comfort food is slowly taking over the country, particularly when it comes to french fries. A delicacy that originated in Belgium, french fries have become a staple American comfort food.
